Fender American Standard Stratocaster 2012 – Charcoal Frost Metallic (Factory Custom Shop Pickups & OHSC)
Description
Up for sale is a beautiful, all-original 2012 Fender American Standard Stratocaster finished in the highly sophisticated and discontinued Charcoal Frost Metallic.
2012 marks a legendary benchmark year for the American Standard lineup. Mid-way through this year, Fender officially upgraded the series to include premium Fender Custom Shop Fat '50s single-coil pickups straight from the factory. These highly desirable pickups deliver the quintessential, bell-like vintage Stratocaster chime with enhanced bass response and a beautifully punchy midrange.
This U.S.-made workhorse offers incredible modern playability. It features an ultra-comfortable modern "C" neck profile, a fast 9.5" fingerboard radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a stable 2-point synchronized tremolo system equipped with vintage-style bent steel saddles for stellar sustain and precise intonation.
This guitar comes complete with its original TSA-approved Fender hardshell case and the original tremolo arm.
Tonal Electronics & Hardware
- Pickups: 3x Factory Fender Custom Shop Fat '50s Single-Coils
- Controls: Master Volume, Tone 1 (Neck), Tone 2 with factory "No-Load" circuit (bypasses the tone pot when turned to 10 for maximum raw brightness and output on the middle/bridge pickups)
- Bridge: 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo with Vintage-Style Bent Steel Saddles
- Neck Junction: 4-Bolt with Micro-Tilt™ adjustment system
Condition & Playability
This guitar is in overall excellent cosmetic and structural condition. The finish is clean, and the frets have plenty of life left on them. Please note: There is a very small nick on the back of the neck, located right about in the middle of the skunk stripe. It is visible under lighting, but I don't recall ever feeling it while playing and it does not impact performance or comfort whatsoever. I am including a photo of it. The neck is perfectly straight, the action is dialed in low, and it is 100% ready to plug and play right out of the case.
